Mother’s Day Shoot

On Mother’s Day we had a fun shoot with the soon-to-be mother herself, Marianne, and her husband, Dan. They also brought along their pups, because they of course are family! She is due any day now so time was of the essence. Tim and I had a great time on this shoot. Marianne was up for anything. I was amazed at how great and put together she looked when a baby is due any day. I hope that when it my time I have the same grace so close to the due date. I don’t count on it.

While Tim and I were on our shoot for the wedding in Florida, we went up to Savannah, Georgia for the night and looked for place to live. Tim kept saying that he wanted a studio/store front with living space. I kept saying it is going to almost impossible to find that. Our first realtor left a lot to be desired so we just started to call every number we found that was attached to a place we thought looked like a nice place to live. Tim finally got an agent on the phone, Carol Hixson from Hixson Contractors,  and she made immediate plans to come meet us. She took us around to a lot of different places but they just weren’t right. We then drove by Savannah Dog Park and right around the corner there was a renovated dairy factory. It was like fate. It has studio front and amazing living space! I did joke with Tim that he found the only Vegas looking building in Savannah!

Our new address beginning mid-June is 2424 Drayton Street Unit A, Savannah, Georgia.

Our phone numbers will be changing in the next month and we will post our new information as we get it.

More of Georjie and Matt’s Florida Wedding

One of my favorite things to photograph during a wedding is the bouquet toss. There is always so much excitement and laughing. I really think that this is one of the best parts of the wedding. For Georgie’s toss her sister was very excited and I thought she made some fun faces. Let us know what you think.

Georjie + Matt Wedding in Florida

This past weekend we had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in Atlantic Beach, Florida. We had a great time shooting. Georgie is one of the most gracious bride I have ever photographed. She encompasses what I like to call southern charm. Tim and I enjoyed everyone at the wedding and had a great time. We will be posting a few bits and pieces to this wedding over the next week but we wanted to first start out with some formal portraits.

As most of you know Tim and I can’t sit still in Vegas so we do a lot of day trips with our dogs. A while back we posted pictures from our trip to Chloride, Arizona. The owner of AZ3Sixty contacted us and asked to use my picture in their magazine. Who knew that our adventure out of town to escape the city of Vegas would get us into AZ3Sixty Magazine! I know that I am a photographer but I can be horrible at taking pictures on my own time. I am usually so busy finishing up school, getting my house to not become a disaster zone and getting my dogs their much need exercise. When we go out of town on these small day trips Tim is usually the one with the camera and I just observe, sometimes I will grab his camera and take a few frames. I do believe that some experiences in life don’t need to be captured on film and sometimes we just need to live in the moment. Tim is the exact opposite and wants to photograph everything. Well on this trip to Chloride I decided to break out my camera and bring it along on our trip. I guess it is a good thing that I did because now we have a picture published. So I think from now on I will at least keep my camera near me but I am not going to make any promises to carry on me at all times. I do have my new, what I like to call vacation camera the Cannon G9

Thanks again to Mike Gallaugher at AZ3Sixty.
